International Fall School on Hydrogen Safety and Entrepreneurship – Pan-Canadian Alliance for Hydrogen Hubs
Sunday, September 27 to October 1, 2026, during HYVOLUTION CANADA 2026, in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada.
The very first pan-Canadian fall school on hydrogen safety and entrepreneurship will take place from September 27 to October 1, 2026, in Trois-Rivières, alongside the second edition of Hyvolution Canada, an international hydrogen event. It will bring together some thirty participants from various Canadian hydrogen hubs to mark the first anniversary of the signing of the alliance among these hubs of the Canadian hydrogen sector.
The goal is to offer a program that develops and strengthens the skills of both participating students and professionals working in the field of hydrogen, a clean energy carrier and a key driver of decarbonization. The school will highlight the role of scientific entrepreneurship in developing a strong Canadian hydrogen sector, emphasizing Quebec’s pivotal role thanks to the richness of its ecosystem and the commitment of its industrial stakeholders. Drawing on the organizers’ expertise in hosting international summer schools focused on energy transition and sustainable development, the school will offer a rich and interdisciplinary program.
The program will include, notably, two days at Hyvolution, visits to research centers and industrial sites, technical exchange sessions, workshops on the governance, energy resilience, and social acceptability aspects inherent in the deployment of the hydrogen sector in Canada, and hydrogen safety training (Training certificate and continuing education credits (CECs) on hydrogen safety).
Classes will be held exclusively in person. Courses will be taught in English.
