1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/zivte.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/VTE-State-of-commitment.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VTE STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT<\/a> for responsible development of the energy transition pursues three (3) objectives:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>Developanethicalframeworkforthedevelopmentanddeploymentofthe energy transition.<\/li>\n<li>Direct the energy transition so that everyone can benefit from this environmental revolution.<\/li>\n<li>Create a space for national and international dialogue to collectively achieve inclusive, equitable, environmentally, and economically sustainable development.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"style-h3\">A COMMITMENT FOR WHO ?<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/zivte.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/VTE-State-of-commitment.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VTE STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT<\/a> is addressed to any person (*), or representative of an organization willing to participate in the development of the energy transition in a responsible manner, to contribute scientifically and technologically to it in order to collectively develop projects that create wealth.<\/p>\n<p>More specifically, it is intended for anyone willing to participate in the development of VTE in order to become either :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Official member who can attend the meetings of the VTE (annual, extraordinary) with voting rights, which can potentially be:<br \/>\no Administrator on the executive board.<br \/>\no Member on the scientific committee.<\/li>\n<li>Partner or collaborator.<\/li>\n<li>Employee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(*) : Note that a maximum of two individuals per organization\/company are permitted to become a member of the Assembly and a formal resolution of the organization\/company appointing them as representatives is required.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"style-h3\">PREAMBLE<\/h2>\n<p>The principles (7) of this <a href=\"https:\/\/zivte.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/VTE-State-of-commitment.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VTE STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT<\/a> represents the directions of an ethical compass that appropriately guide the development of the considered energy transition, in relation to social acceptability.<\/p>\n<p>Although they are presented as a list, the principles are not hierarchical. The last principle is therefore just as important as the first.<br \/>\nBien qu\u2019ils soient pre\u0301sente\u0301s sous forme de liste, les principes ne sont pas hie\u0301rarchise\u0301s. Le dernier principe est donc tout aussi important que le premier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle<br \/>\n<\/strong>Rules defining a way of acting and often corresponding to a moral standpoint.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"style-h3\">RESPECT<\/h2>\n<p>A commitment to considerations towards VTE members, leading to treating them with special regard through respectful use of resources, spaces, confidentiality of exchanges (when required), and written, verbal, as well as social media communication.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"style-h3\">OPENESS<\/h2>\n<p>A commitment to being open to ideas and suggestions of others to understand their ins and outs to adjust and evolve.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"style-h3\">THE COMMON GOOD<\/h2>\n<p>A commitment to the significance of the concept of a good shared by VTE members, in both the spiritual and moral sense of the word &#8220;good,&#8221; as well as in the material and practical sense, extending to all living species.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"style-h3\">INCLUSION<\/h2>\n<p>A commitment to the action of integrating a person or a group. More specifically, this implies to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to the realization of a diverse society, promote fair and equitable relations without discrimination regarding on social, gender, ethnic, cultural, or religious differences.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the economic and social benefit of the whole, while aiming to reduce inequalities and social precariousness.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate access to resources and knowledge for all.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"style-h3\">LA RESPONSABILITY<\/h2>\n<p>A commitment to a moral obligation towards others to answer of our acts, vouch of our actions or those of others, be accountable to others, and bear the consequences (repairing harm).<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"style-h3\">ACHIEVEMENT<\/h2>\n<p>A commitment to action in order to fulfill oneself, accomplish something, take it from the conceptual stage to existence while allowing oneself to venture off the beaten path.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"style-h3\">ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY<\/h2>\n<p>A commitment to developing the energy transition in a way that ensures strong environmental sustainability for the planet, keeping in mind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aim for maximum energy efficiency and minimize greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs).<\/li>\n<li>Aim to generate minimal waste and plan for maintenance, repair, and recycling channels in a circular and sustainable economy approach.<\/li>\n<li>Minimize impacts on ecosystems and biodiversity at all stages of a lifecycle, particularly during the extraction of natural resources and end-of-life stages.<\/li>\n<li>Combat the wastage of natural resources and manufactured goods, establish sustainable supply chains and trade, and reduce global pollution.<\/li>\n<li>Consider public health and safety issues in achieving the VTE mission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_large\"><\/div><div class=\"w-hwrapper valign_top align_none\" style=\"--hwrapper-gap:2rem\"><div class=\"w-btn-wrapper align_center\"><a class=\"w-btn us-btn-style_3 us_custom_11b83e07\" title=\"Signataires\" href=\"https:\/\/zivte.com\/en\/signatories\/\"><span class=\"w-btn-label\">See the list of signatories<\/span><\/a><\/div><div class=\"w-btn-wrapper align_none\"><a class=\"w-btn us-btn-style_3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/zivte.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/VTE-State-of-commitment.pdf\"><span class=\"w-btn-label\">Download the statement<\/span><\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"State of commitment The VTE STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT is a collective project with the aim of advancing the energy transition for the benefit of Quebec and Canadian society, while greatly respecting the environment.
